FOUR Chipping Norton residents will help raise funds for a good cause after striking lucky in the People's Postcode Lottery.

The neighbours on Rock Hill, off London Road, were jumping for joy after their postcode, OX7 5BA, was announced as the winner of the draw's daily prize on Wednesday.

They have each scooped £1,000 for every ticket they play with thanks to the win.

Witney Gazette:

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt said: “What a great day for our winners in Chipping Norton.

"I hope they enjoyed spending their prize money and treated themselves to something nice.”

The People's Postcode Lottery is a subscription lottery which raises money for charities.

It costs £10 a month to play, with players automatically entered into every draw.

Winning postcodes are announced every day and a single ticket can win up to 10 per cent of the draw proceeds.

A minimum of 32 per cent of tickets sales goes directly to charity, with players of the People's Postcode Lottery raising £393m to date.

This has benefited 5,500 good causes across Britain and beyond.

Many organisations that receive funding are based near the players, with different charities receiving cash every week.
