HONDA'S Swindon plant is reportedly set to close, putting 3,500 jobs at risk and increasing fears about BMW's future in Oxford.
The Japanese carmaker have refused to comment, but sources have told Sky News and the BBC that an announcement on the plant's closure in 2022 will be made tomorrow morning.
In 2018, Honda Europe's senior vice-president said a no-deal Brexit would cost the firm tens of millions of pounds.
And last month, Honda said it would close the plant for six days in April to prepare for disruption caused by Brexit.
The news is likely to raise further questions about the future of BMW's Mini factory in Cowley.

Last month, a government minister said 'nonsensical' plans for a no-deal Brexit could force the factory to close.
BMW did not respond directly to the comments but said it would continue to prepare for Brexit and called for further clarity.
The number of Oxfordshire-based staff working at the Honda plant is now known.
