A DRIVER sustained a serious head injury in a car crash that left two men in hospital.

Two vehicles were involved in last Friday's collision on the B4022, Great Tew Road in Church Enstone, near Chipping Norton.

The first vehicle, a red Ford Transit van, was travelling towards the Tews, while the other vehicle, a silver Vauxhall Vivaro, was heading in the opposite direction.

The Vauxhall driver, aged 45, sustained a head injury in the crash, while the driver of the van, aged 34, broke both his wrists and injured his chest.

Both men are still receiving treatment at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following the incident, which happened at about 7.45am.

Investigating officer PC Wayne Martin, of the roads policing team based at Bicester Howes Lane police station, said: “We are appealing for witnesses to this incident, especially anyone who saw either of these vehicles being driven shortly before this incident.

“If you have dash-cam footage of the incident or from the area at the time which shows either of these vehicles please get in touch.

“Both drivers are still recovering in hospital and we are working to establish exactly what happened.”
