PUPILS ran around their school field to raise money for Cancer Research.

Inspired by the Race for Life events, the school council at Stephen Freeman Community Primary School in Didcot came up with the idea of doing their own fundraiser.

Children made colourful signs and pinned them to their backs, including names of loved ones who had been affected by cancer.

Pupils from the nursery through to Year 6 took part on Friday, and were each presented with a medal for their efforts.

Year 6 ran the race first and then encouraged younger members of the school around the track, cheering each other on.
