UP to 700 pupils and staff at a Witney secondary school will walk around the town as they attempt to raise £50,000.

Wood Green School's parent-teacher association (PTA) is holding several fundraising events in a bid to reach the total, with a sponsored walk on Wednesday the latest challenge.

Participants can choose between routes of seven, nine and 11 miles as they take a scenic stroll through Witney and Ducklington.

The PTA reformed in February and has set a three-year target to revamp the school's library and hall and improve Wood Green's health and wellbeing support.
