A MAN 'with an Irish accent' is being hunted by police after betting shop staff were threatened at knifepoint.
The robber stormed the BetFred shop in Fettiplace Road, Witney, about 9am Friday.
Police said the man, armed with a knife, demanded money from a member of staff and tried to climb over the counter. He did not take anything from the shop.

The man is described as white, short, in his early 20s, and spoke with an Irish accent.
The force added that he was wearing a grey hoodie, a khaki puffa jacket, and black baggy jeans.

No-one was injured during this incident.

A male described as white, in his 20's, 5'6 wearing a puffa jacket and dark trousers entered Betfred, Fetttiplace Road Witney entered with a knife demanding money.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Mark Wray of Banbury Force CID, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to try and establish who the man described is.
“If you saw what happened on Friday morning, or you have information which you think could help with this investigation, please get in touch.
“We would especially like people who have CCTV in that area to check it for anything unusual or anyone who has dash-cam footage from around the area at that time."
