NEW floodlights are set to be installed at a Witney playing field.
West Oxfordshire District Council has revealed plans to erect the four high-powered lamps at the Cedar Drive sports pitches next to Madley Brook school.
The lighting would allow children and adults to safely play sports at the park all year-round.
The leisure team have submitted their proposal to the council's planning department for approval.
Read also: Petrol station lights that 'make village look like Blackpool' must be replacedExplaining their plan the officers wrote: "The proposal is to install four eight-metre-high flood light columns with a total of six LED luminaires to the multi-use games area and skate park.
"The column height is designed to allow floodlights to operate at optimum efficiency and also to provide the lowest levels of light spill outside the area."
