THE first pictures of a new a hotel, pub and restaurant planned for an Oxfordshire housing estate have been released.

New facilities are set to open near Bicester, within the village centre - a hub of retail and commercial facilities in Heyford Park - by the end of 2020.

A new Sainsbury’s branch is also due to open on the estate this time next year, as well as a range of new apartments.

A two-lane bowling alley and a 'canopy link' - a space for relaxing and community use - will also be created.

Property developers, Dorchester Living, who have been building homes at Heyford Park for several years now, say the interior design of the hotel has been inspired by the ‘synergy’ between indoor and outdoor living.

Through the use of recycled wood panels and distressed brickwork, chesterfield sofas and greenery, the spaces will provide a casual meeting spot for residents and visitors to the estate.

The hotel ceiling will be adorned with plants, in an attempt to capture the essence of relaxing outside and can be enjoyed all year round.

Jeanne Evett, sales and marketing director at Dorchester Living, said: “We’re really excited to release these new images, showing residents and the local community how these new spaces will look and feel.

“The village centre is the next chapter at Heyford Park and we’re working hard to bring these new commercial and retail premises forward as quickly as we can.

“The centre forms a key part of our vision and it will help to create a vibrant central hub for the development; a place for both residents and visitors to enjoy.”

Heyford Park is set on more than 1,200 acres of land near Bicester, with the area known for its long-distinguished history as a former RAF base.

Dorchester Living has crafted a masterplan for the site that embraces its history whilst creating a new village centre, new homes, employment opportunities, schooling and leisure facilities for both residents and the wider neighbourhood to enjoy.

Heyford Park Free School and the Old Station Nursery have already been delivered as part of the plans, alongside 300 new homes and a village green.

The new facilities to be located within the village centre form the next chapter of developments.

Dorchester Living is the property development arm of Dorchester Regeneration, which was founded in 1996. Dorchester has over twenty years’ experience in property development, having advised and funded many large development projects run by national house builders.
