An EVENT in Oxford managed to raise money for victims of Hurricane Dorian, which hit the Bahamas last month.
Cowley Road Caribbean restaurant Spiced Roots held an evening of entertainment and food.
Caribbean music played all night with an upbeat mood and dancing from the young and older attendees.

Traditional food was served including Trinidadian Doubles – a popular streetfood in Trinidad and Tobago.
Alongside DJ Ovaproof, guests were treated to performances from international recording artist, Jerome Arab, and DJ’s Hotstepper and B Rob.
Money was raised through selling raffle tickets, cash donations and donating all proceeds of the cocktail special on the night.

The funds are being sent to The Buddy Hield Foundation which is working in the Bahamas to aid the rebuilding process.
