A CRUNCH meeting will be held tonight, to decide if South Oxfordshire District Council will ditch its Local Plan.
Authorities around the county have pleaded with SODC to continue with the plan, amid fears scrapping it could see millions of pounds of Government funding lost.
The Local Plan currently allocates sites for building including Grenoble Road, south of Oxford, Culham and Chalgrove Airfield.
But many Liberal Democrats and Greens, who have run SODC since May, are sceptical about whether the council needs to build as many homes as the plan commits to.
The meeting will take place in Crowmarsh Gifford from 6pm.
