ORGANISERS are preparing for Oxford’s 39th annual Green Fair at the town hall.
The event, featuring a large number of eco-friendly stalls, will take place at the St Aldate’s venue from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday, December 1 - the first time it has happened on a Sunday.
There will be a host of stalls featuring crafts and green campaign groups, together with a vegetarian and vegan cafe.

This year the fair will be opened by Benny Wenda, of the Free West Papua campaign and Craig Simmons, Lord Mayor of Oxford.
Organiser Bob Cowley said: “The annual Oxford Green Fair at Oxford Town Hall in early December has become an Oxford institution.
“But after 38 years, the organisers have decided to ring the changes by running the event on a Sunday for the first time, reflecting Sunday’s growing importance as a day for shopping and family excursions. Green Father Christmas looks forward to welcoming everybody to the 39th Oxford Green Fair on December 1.”

Donations and volunteers are still needed including food items for the cafe.
This could include home-made savoury quiches, salads, soups, biscuits and cakes.
