Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was killed by a lorry on the M4 between junctions 5 and 6 at around 3.45am this morning.
The vehicle collided with a walker between the hard shoulder and lane one.
The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and was not injured but the pedestrian suffered injuries and died at the scene.
The motorway was closed for six hours for an investigation and junctions 5 and 6 have now re-opened following this collision.
Thames Valley Police are working to identify the victim and notify their family.
Police are now appealing for witnesses from people driving at the time or even anybody who may have been driving with a dash-cam between 3.30 and 3.45 am.
If anybody witnessed the crash, please call 101, quoting URN 91 (19/11).
