A CHRISTMAS concert will raise funds for an Oxford hospice.

Military Wives Brize Norton and the Wessex Male Choir will be joining forces to raise money for Sobell House, at the Churchill Hospital, Headington.

The festivities will take place at 7pm next Saturday at the Church of St John the Evangelist, Carterton. Festive music, carols, mince pies and wine will all be on offer.

Tickets are priced at £10 with under-16s free, although a ticket is still required. Tickets can be purchase from Carterton town hall or Sobell House shops.

Sobell House opened in 1976 and provides specialist palliative and end of life care for adults with terminal illnesses across the county.

The hospice relies on the help of individuals and businesses in the local community to raise funds to help support them and the work they carry out.
