A DRIVER was caught with Class A drugs on the A34 after a keen-nosed police officer smelled cannabis coming from their vehicle.
Thames Valley Police's Roads Policing team tweeted last night at 11.30pm that the motorist had been arrested on the busy route travelling northbound at Botley.
They wrote: "Vehicle passed officer on A34 northbound at Botley. Officer detected smell of cannabis from vehicle.

"Driver provided positive drug wipe for Cannabis. Driver arrested.
"Class A seized from wallet of driver in custody."
The arrest was carried out as part of Operation Holly.
During the month-long operation, motorists can expect to see police carrying out breath tests, drug tests and impairment tests at the roadside, to deter anyone from getting behind the wheel while intoxicated.
