A BLACK BMW and a red Jaguar were stolen from a residential driveway on December 8.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the burglary of the home on Williamscot Hill, Banbury between 12.15am and 3.56am.

Burglars stole cash, a number of personal items and the keys to two cars, which were then taken from the victim’s driveway.

Officers are linking the offence to an attempted burglary that happened two days later in Mollington, Banbury.

At 4.13pm on Tuesday, December 10, the victim, a woman in her fifties, saw two men attempting to break into her property through the back door.

The offenders spotted the victim inside and ran to the front of the property and got into a black Audi A3 and left the scene.

Burglars, however, did not manage to enter the property and nothing was stolen.

The offenders are both described as slim men, one around 6ft 4 ins tall and the other shorter at around 5ft 11 ins tall.

They were both wearing black clothing, white masks and black balaclavas.

Investigating Officer Philip Rowles said: "I am appealing to anyone who may have witnesses these incidents, or have dash-cam footage from around the area at the time to come forward with any information.

"We are particularly interested in locating the black Audi the offenders were seen leaving the scene in."
