MORE people are set to ditch meat and animal products this month as part of the worldwide challenge called ‘veganuary’.
Residents curious about the trend will have a chance to sample vegan foods and browse eco-friendly goods at the first vegan market of the year held at Oxford Town Hall in St Aldate's on Saturday, January 25.
Organised by Vegan Markets UK, a company that operates events across the UK, it will feature more than 50 stalls.
The last vegan market in the city was held on November 2 with more than 1,000 people attending the popular event.

There was a range of local and national businesses selling vegan fast food and pastries, organic chocolates, natural wines and ciders, and a variety of eco-friendly and sustainable clothing, candles and period products.
Traders featured at the market included Riverford Organic Farmers, Enriched Superfoods, Bamboo Feet and Global Fusion Vegan Creole Bakery.
The Oxford Vegan Market has operated in Oxford since 2018 and organiser Ellie Beckett said it is a very busy location for the company.
Other popular locations include London, Birmingham, High Wycombe and Leeds.
The market will start at 10.30am and close at 4pm, and visitors will be able to purchase £2 tickets on the door.
