SWIMMERS had to wait an extra three months for Oxford's £3m pool complex at Temple Cowley.
The picture shows the site in July 1985 and it was meant to be complete in September 1985.
City council architect Peter Beresford said tests were carried out on all three pools and each got the thumbs up.

He said: "It took about three weeks to do each pool, because you have to fill them up and empty them very slowly."
As well as the main pool, there is also a smaller one for children and a deep diving pool.
Mr Beresford said the concrete soaked up some water, taking the level down a fraction, and then stopped.
A lot of progress had been made in the last few months including the shell of the building being completed and work on putting in the fixtures and fittings was underway.
