FORENSICS and at least 10 police vehicles were called to a residential area in Didcot this morning.

Officers tweeted at 6.30am that they were in Mendip Heights dealing with a 'serious' incident.

Police have since revealed that a murder investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed to death.

Two other victims were taken to hospital in serious conditions.

A section of Mendip Heights at the junction of Brendon Close, was cordoned off.

People on social media said they saw an officer recovering a knife from a railway bridge nearby.

A policeman was guarding the railway bridge a short walk away from the estate, and a knife could be seen on the footpath.
