A CYCLIST died in an early-morning crash along a B-road near Bicester.

The collision happened on the B4100 near Stoke Lyne on Wednesday, at about 5.40am.

It involved a black Kia Picanto car and a black mountain bike, and the rider - a 38-year-old man - died as a result.

Investigating officer, PC Ian Stevens, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, based at Bicester Howes Lane, said: "This incident has tragically resulted in a man being killed, and I am appealing for anyone who saw it occur to get in touch.

"If you saw either the car or bicycle prior to the collision, or have any dash cam footage which you think could help our investigation, please call us."

No one else was injured and no arrests have been made.
