FROM stories about shouting men in the street, to a vigilante drilling armrests into public benches – this week's stories have got you talking.

Here are a few of the funniest, most controversial and interesting opinions left by the readers on our stories and on social media.

Witney Gazette:

This week one of our most commented on story was about a man who armed with a megaphone was shouting at the people of Oxford, telling them to stop breeding.

Danny Shine, a self-described social experimentalist, was on the city’s streets asking passerby ‘why did your parents have you?’ as part of a demonstration about overpopulation.

Here’s what you said:

  • Spam_me_harder: “He’s right...people really should stop having so many kids. But he’s also a pest.”
  • Mr G: “Yes he has three kids of his own, idiot!”
  • Richard of Wantage: “Now that I have reached 80, I have decided that I will do my bit and stop reproducing.”

On Facebook, you said:

  • Teresa Pullin: “OMG I hope my mum doesn’t come across him he won’t know what’s hit him verbally that is.”
  • Emily Massad: “This is the guy we saw standing outside Ann Summers saying that their products should come with a warning label that they ‘lead to pregnancy’.”

Witney Gazette:

This week a sign at the Westgate Centre was branded sexist after appearing to show a woman, in a dress, crouching over a baby as she changed a nappy.

Some people made light of the ‘snowflakes’ – a term used for those who are easily offended and others said the sign ‘sent the wrong message’ and ‘genderised’ the role of a parent.

Here’s what you said:

  • Stayingafloat: “Spot on. Snowflakes.”
  • Cedric557: “It may be only a sign but it not so subtly reinforces the concept that women change babies nappies and it is not a man’s responsibility.”
  • Wellblowme: “It’s just a sign showing a person changing a baby. You can understand the message so what is the problem. People who got no kids don’t want to see the sign but won’t go complaining about it or feel discriminated against. It’s just a sign, get over it. More important things in the world to worry about.”
  • Fish1973: “Dear oh dear, the world has gone mad.”
  • BucketHead2020: “Oh my. Ever thought it could be a man in drag?”
  • Alicesgrannymk1: “It’s so pathetic it doesn’t deserve a comment. Give me our normal world back before all this rubbish surfaced.”

Witney Gazette:

This week the homeless community this week shamed the ‘spiteful’ and ‘nasty’ vigilante who drilled armrests onto a bench to stop people lying down.

The bench on Woodstock Road already has three armrests but somebody took it upon themselves to add in more.

Here’s what you said:

  • Georgie Agdgdgwngo: "So what would you like the homeless to do? Presumably get a job and out down a deposit on a flat?"
  • John Percival: "I'm a local a builder and I work in Oxford every day. I also have a Stihl saw with a metal cutting disc. I'll gladly remove them."
