VOLUNTEERS are wanted to help lop down trees in Oxford today.
The Wild Oxford conservation team will be felling ash trees which are infected with ash dieback disease at South Hinksey Community Woodland from 10am to 3pm.
The crew will be replanting the felled areas with a mixture of oak, lime, alder, birch and maple.

Organiser Andy Gunn said: "The session runs from 10am to 3pm and you are welcome to join at any time.
"There is something for everyone to do and it should be a fun day."
Anyone interested in helping is invited to meet by the entrance to Chilswell Path (OX1 5AP).
Mr Gunn advised that parking is 'very limited' and encouraged drivers to park at either the Oxford Wyevale Garden Centre or The Hinksey Heights Golf Course and walk across to the meeting point.

The woodland is also accessible via South Hinksey (A34) by-pass bridge.
All tools and equipment will be provided.
However, Mr Gunn said, in an effort to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the Wild Oxford team will not be providing drinks and biscuits at work parties for the foreseeable future so volunteers are asked to bring your own drinks, snacks and hand sanitiser.
