BUS users in Carterton will benefit from new services after the town council agreed to fund them.

West Oxfordshire Community Transport will provide the services, which will commence in the next few months, with support from Carterton Town Council.

The services will run from the housing estates on the town’s edge towards the centre.

Carterton mayor Michele Mead, said: “This is an excellent example of Carterton Town Council working with local providers, to enable residents to reach the town centre quickly and safely.”

There will be 27 paid-for services per week, with bus passes accepted.
