ENGLAND'S chief medical officer Chris Whitty is self-isolating after displaying symptoms of coronavirus.
Mr Whitty will now self-isolate at home for the next seven days.
In a tweet, he said he would continue to advise the Government.
Mr Whitty has regularly joined Prime Minister Boris Johnson for the daily conferences.
The news comes after both the Prime Minister and Health Secretary Matt Hancock tested positive for Covid-19 earlier today.
