The schools may be closed because of the coronavirus lockdown, but that has not stopped pupils at West Oxford Community Primary trying to brighten up the neighbourhood.

The primary school children have drawn colourful rainbows which have now been attached to the school railings for the whole community to enjoy.

It is not just West Oxford Community Primary drawing rainbows for everyone to enjoy.

Children across the world have been painting rainbows on their windows as part of a campaign called Chase the Rainbow.

The campaign aims to bring hope amid the coronavirus pandemic and school closures.

The children have written positive messages on their rainbow drawings including 'hope', 'just smile' and 'be happy'.
