AN OXFORDSHIRE woman is selling origami flowers to raise money for mental health charity, Oxfordshire Mind.

Cheryl Stone, 35, from Witney, said: “I’ve had mental health issues in the past with really bad anxiety.

“I wanted to go somewhere where I wouldn’t be judged so I went to Mind in Witney.

“I went to the art sessions there as I’m an arty person myself.

“Unfortunately Mind has had to close during the lockdown but I wanted to give something back as they’ve been amazing.

“It’s been great to see the reaction I’ve got from the flowers as I thought I’d just make a few for family and friends.

“People are finding it hard to get out and buy flowers at the moment and they’re wanting to buy them for colleagues and their own family and friends.”

Witney Gazette:

So far, Mrs Stone has made over 60 bunches of the flowers, raising over £150.

She has now introduced an NHS range to her origami flowers, with proceeds still going to Mind but with the flowers NHS-themed.
