Fast food enthusiasts have wasted no time getting a taste of the action after three Wirral McDonald's restauraunts reopened today for drive-through orders.

Cars queued in big numbers from 11am on the Croft Retail Park in Bromborough, as members of staff directed the flow of traffic.

A McDonald's employee told the Globe: "It's been like this since 11 O'clock this morning with cars tailing back.

"Thankfully everyone has been pretty patient, waiting in line.

"There's been no problems. It's been pretty smooth, which is a relief."

The scene was similar at Rock Retail Park, where vehicles crawled around the tight carpark, while there were big queues in Upton amid claims that it was taking over two hours to reach the front at lunch time.

As reported by the Globe earlier today, more than 1000 McDonald's restaurants have reopened in the UK and Ireland, either for Drive-Thru or McDelivery as coronavirus lockdown restrictions are eased.
