AN ARTY trend featuring hundreds of colourful boats has set sail for a new location in Oxford.
The eye-catching 'Boats of Hope' have now been hung along a bridge to Port Meadow – at Aristotle Lane – to spread cheerful and positive messages during the pandemic.
The creative designs were made by mother and daughter duo Anne and Alice Taylor, and their friend and Jericho neighbour Ines Smyth.

Boat maker Anne Taylor explained that they wanted to focus the community's attention towards the 'wonderful acts of kindness' during this crisis.
Ms Taylor added that many locals touched by the idea have added their own 'messages of hope' such as 'Another world is possible' and 'What if we acted with the same urgency on climate change'.
