A FAMILY had a lucky escape when they woke up in the middle of the night to most of their garden engulfed in flames.
Three trucks of firefighters raced to the house in Fritwell, near Bicester, just before 2.30am on Fathers Day morning and when they arrived a large garden building and around 20m of evergreen bushes had caught fire.

The crews, from Bicester and Banbury stations, battled the flames armed with breathing equipment and hose-reels.
The family saw the light from the fire and were able to escape with the neighbours after dialling 999.
