OXFORD City have announced a groundbreaking partnership with a global sports streaming service.

The Vanarama National League South outfit is teaming up with Sports Flick, an Australian-owned company that broadcasts a variety of sports from all over the world on demand.

City's commercial director Mick Livesey claimed the partnership could be unprecedented for a sixth-tier team and hopes the exclusive content will provide a platform to raise the club's profile.

He said: "This is a deal that I am so proud of and it may be a first for a National League South team to have signed an international deal with a global streaming partner.

"It is all about taking small steps but getting them right in terms of our media and how that is packaged.

"Sports Flick has huge experience in this sphere and will be so valuable to us over the coming years.

"This is very much a deal that we are taking a long-term view about and plan on working with this exciting company for years."

Sports Flick Founder and CEO Dylan Azzopardi added: "We want to build a long-lasting relationship with the club.

"I’m delighted to have agreed to become a principal partner with a club with such great history and part of the beautiful city of Oxford."

The company becomes City's latest principal partner for the 2020/21 campaign.

The start-date for the new season is still unconfirmed due to the coronavirus lockdown, however clubs are optimistic they will return to competitive action in September.
