IT was 'school's out for ever' as children put on a show before a primary school shut its doors permanently in July 2003.
Children danced around the May pole at Headington Quarry First School for the last summer jaunt.
The school was formally closed due to a sharp decline in pupil numbers meaning it was no longer viable to stay open.
It was estimated that only 25 pupils were ready to go there from September of that year.
As school budgets depend on pupil numbers, Headington Quarry would not have been able to afford more than a skeleton staff.
Members of Oxfordshire County Council's schools organisation committee made the decision to order the closure of the school.
