A LIGHT aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in an Oxfordshire field after its engine failed.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a crashed plane on Tuesday afternoon near Enstone Airfield.

Crews from Banbury, Kidlington Fire Station! Hook Norton Fire Station and Wheatley Fire Station attended, as well as police and paramedics.

Only able to reach the site in 4x4s, emergency services found both pilot and passenger had already managed to get out and were not hurt.
