POSITIVE cases of coronavirus in the UK have risen by over 700.
The total number of lab-confirmed cases was 744, taking the overall number to 304,695.
Meanwhile, the number of deaths has increased by just eight, taking that figure to 46,201.
Five of those eight died in England, with hospital patients aged between 52 and 86 years old.

Two of the deaths were in the Midlands, with one each in the North East & Yorkshire, the North West, and the South West.
All had underlying health conditions and their families have been informed.
In England, there have now been 41,589 deaths, with 2,491 in Scotland, 1,565 in Wales and 556 in Northern Ireland.
In Oxfordshire, there have been 3,251 positive cases of the virus, up from 3,244.
