TOAD, Ratty, Badger and many other much-loved characters will be brought to live in a theatrical production of Wind in The Willows at Blenheim Palace today and tomorrow.

Multi-award nominated Immersion Theatre will bring their trademark style and energy to the Woodstock stately home, with heaps of socially distanced audience interaction. And the show is being billed as the perfect summer treat for all the family – coming, admittedly, when there’s nothing much else on anyway.

Guests are invited to bring a picnic for the event, and join the boat-loving Ratty, the sensible yet curious Mole, wise old Badger and the irrepressible Toad as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime to save Toad Hall.

Eye-catching costumes, toe-tapping music and larger than life characters promise to capture the imagination of the youngest of audience members while the sheer nostalgic charm of the story is guaranteed to take older audience members on a glorious trip down the riverbank onto memory lane.

Witney Gazette:

There will be two performances at 2pm and 5.30pm both today and tomorrow with tickets available to book online via the Blenheim Palace website.

Established in 2010, the company has built up a notable portfolio of critically-acclaimed work which includes large-scale musicals, family theatre, open-air productions, drama, and pantomime. The live show is part of a series of fun new events and activities taking place at the Woodstock stately home, including the acclaimed Picnic at the Palace events.
