POLICE have warned residents of rogue traders offering door-to-door home improvement services.

These contractors have been operating across the Thames Valley and distributing leaflets, which only include phone numbers as contact details.

They also show listed websites, which are removed after only a couple of weeks.

Officers have warned the work can be 'sub-standard and overpriced', with contractors often acting aggressively.

Residents are urged to be careful if approached by traders.
