THE Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for West Mercia Police (WMP) is calling for more people to have their say on policing in the region.

PCC John Campion is urging residents in the area to take part in a public survey ahead of setting next year’s policing budget.

Mr Campion wants to hear from communities across the three counties, including Shropshire.

Residents have less than a week left to give their views via a public survey, which closes on Monday, November 2.

The PCC wants to ensure that, when it comes to it, the public’s views are at the heart of his decision making.

Mr Campion said: “I’m pleased that so many people have already taken the opportunity to have their say but, with a population of over one million, I’d like to hear from more of our residents.

“This is a chance for me to hear the views of the public. I want to understand priorities people have and ensure they are at the heart of decisions I make.”
