Coronavirus cases in the county have gone up by more than 100 in a day as a second Covid death within a week was reported at Oxfordshire's hospitals.
According to Public Health England, as of 9am, these are the number of new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours;
- Oxford - 30
- Oxfordshire - 125
- UK - 20,890
The total coronavirus cases since the pandemic started;
- Oxford - 1,988
- Oxfordshire - 6,326
- UK - 894,690
Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
Separate NHS England figures also showed a patient died on Thursday, October 22, at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH).
The data includes patients who either tested positive for Covid-19 or where no positive test result was received but Covid-19 was mentioned on their death certificate.
It follows another death of a patient at the trust, which also runs the Churchill Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and Banbury’s Horton General Hospital, on Thursday, October 17.

That had been the first death at the trust in more than three months and both deaths come after increasing hospital admissions across the UK.
A further 102 people were reported to have died within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test.
It takes the confirmed UK death toll to 44,998.
