Justin Merritt, Velocity Football and Oxford City FC director, said: “This is an excellent partnership for both Velocity Football and Oxford City. To have partnered with such a high calibre international company is testament to what we are delivering in sports education, football and our community.

“We partner with companies who share the same values as us and this is a partnership built on a mutual respect and appreciation of education and work hard. The partnership means our students have top-of-the-range kit to wear during their studies.

“It has also helped the football club construct a fantastic new all-seater family stand which we are very proud of. It has been built as part of our ongoing development of the stadium, our drive to attract more families to matches and our wider commitment to our community.”

Jamie Sylvester of Macron Store Cardiff added: “We are delighted to be the headline sponsor of the Velocity programme.

“Macron shares many similar core values to Velocity Football. We believe in the value of hard work and constant improvement and understand that sport requires effort, sweat, and strong will. All of these characteristics have been there for us to see during our visits to Velocity Football.

“We have worked with Velocity partners Oxford City FC for many years and have been impressed with what the education programme provides to young people wishing to explore a career in sport.

“Velocity marries football with sport business and academia. It is a fantastic concept, and we see the potential each programme has to create the next generation of coaches, analysts, players and more. We look forward to working with Velocity in the future.”
