Firefighters work through the night on chimney fire
FIREFIGHTERS worked through the night to put a fire out inside a chimney.
The crew from Witney went to North Leigh last night.
Using special equipment and a hose reel, the chimney flue was cleared and the fire was extinguished.
Writing on Facebook, VM Woodward from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue said: "At this time of year we can still get cold nights but these are becoming fewer as Spring arrives, it is important that occupiers get their chimney’s swept and maintained at the end of the season”.
