PUPILS at an Oxfordshire primary school are self-isolating for 10 days after a positive case of coronavirus was discovered.

Students across the country returned to the classroom on Monday after the vast majority were taught remotely during 2021.

Victoria Musson, headteacher at Queen Emma’s Primary School in Witney, said: “A member of our school community has tested positive, and as per the Government guidelines, those in close contact are all self-isolating for 10 days.

“The school is still open for those that aren’t self-isolating, while those that are self-isolating are receiving remote learning.”

Miss Musson did not confirm how many pupils were currently self-isolating.
