A Witney company has installed CCTV free of charge at a community bus depot which has been subjected to repeated attacks of vandalism.

Technical solutions company Krayma is helping co-operative owned bus provider West Oxfordshire Community Transport protect its new home.

After WOCT began work on their new depot at Windrush Valley Road earlier this summer, the company was initially plagued by vandalism.

But after news of the attacks was reported on social media, Krayma stepped into offer free installation of CCTV.

“The offer came somewhat out of the blue, but we were absolutely delighted by Krayma’s quick generosity and community spirit,” said Andrew Lyon, Head of Operations for WOCT.

“Moving into our new home hasn’t been without its challenges, but the warm response from the community, and particularly the support of local companies like Krayma, has been really encouraging.

“It’s wonderful to see local businesses going out of their way to support each other, and having the CCTV installed will give us peace of mind and allow us to keep focusing on serving our community.”

Witney-based Krayma has been providing IT support and consultancy to small and medium-sized businesses since 2007.

Mike Dove, one of Krayma’s directors, said: “When Nik Jarvis and myself heard about the mindless vandalism at the WOCT headquarters earlier this year, we were both shocked and disappointed to hear that something like this had, once again happened in our town, but especially to a charity that provide such a crucial service.

“We’re both local to Witney, as is our whole team, and we’re all very proud of the town we live in. We quickly made a decision as a company, that we wanted to help out in some way. After a good

chat with [director] Mike Alexander and Andrew Lyon, we offered to install a new CCTV system for them, which is now up and running.”

Mike added: “Hopefully this will put an end to the vandalism issues and allow WOCT to carry on providing this amazing service to the town and surrounding villages, without being constantly

worried about this kind of thing happening again."
