It might be time to brush up your dusting and vacuuming skills.

Blenheim Palace is on the lookout for a cleaner to help keep its portraits, furniture, sculpture and tapestries looking spick and span.

It is a permanent position, and the successful candidate will be expected to put in 45 hours a week. The hourly rate is £9.41.

Applicants will support the Deputy Collections Manager and Keeper of Palace and Collections in ensuring that correct standards of cleaning and maintenance of areas within the prestigious buildings and grounds are consistent and to a high standard.

It won’t be entirely palatial however as the job will also include cleaning the service areas, toilets and other facilities.

“Blenheim Palace is one of Europe’s most important and spectacular buildings with a rich and fascinating heritage,” said Deputy Collections Manager Carmen Alvarez.

“It also plays host to close to a million visitors every year and the Palace Cleaning Team has a vital role in ensuring it maintains high standards of cleanliness throughout.

“The job involves cleaning and maintaining the areas within the Palace complex and visitor areas, including function rooms and other areas as required,” she added.
