Inconsiderate parking blocking bin truck routes is leading to missed waste collections, said West Oxfordshire District Council.
On its Facebook page, the council said drivers leaving their cars and vans blocking bends and turning areas was "a daily problem" and led to all the households in some narrow streets having to wait for their bins to be emptied.
They said that crews do not have the time to wait for the vehicle to be moved as this would disrupt their schedule.
It said they "will try and return later in the day or the following day if they are not able to make the collection as scheduled - but can only do this if time allows".
The council also pointed out that illegal parking in general may prevent emergency services gaining access.
"Please help us make your waste collections and park considerately," they said.
