Ex-Busted star Charlie Simpson has had to cancel his gig at the O2 Academy Oxford this weekend.

The musician was slated to perform on Sunday but the gig will no longer go ahead.

Writing on his Instagram, Mr Simpson said the decision to postpone his new album and tour was “difficult”.

The decision was taken because supply chain issues caused by Covid-19 meant the delivery of the physical album would be delayed.

He said: “The new album will now be released on April 15, and as with all touring cycles, naturally I want you to have the new album before my upcoming shows, so the tour has been pushed back to May, with the exception of both London shows remaining on April 18 and 19.”
