A driver received an "unwanted birthday gift" when he was arrested on his birthday after police received reports of a vehicle swerving across the M40.
Thames Valley Police Roads Policing Team said the driver was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
The alert was raised following reports of a vehicle crossing the lanes on the busy motorway.
Sharing the details on Twitter, TVP Roads Policing said: "Driver has received an unwanted birthday gift after being arrested on his birthday for drink driving on the M40 following reports of a vehicle swerving across lanes, in custody blew 60ug/L. Second drink drive ban coming soon."
