A youth football team raised over £1,000 with a raffle thanks to help from a former F1 racing legend.
Sir Jackie Stewart heard about Witney Vikings youth football team's fundraising for prostate cancer through a mutual friend and was keen to donate a signed helmet and a bottle of champagne.
Coach Chris Miles said: "I was very grateful considering all the great work he already does for charity especially for dementia.
"We raised a fantastic £1,374 and had amazing support from local businesses, friends, family and opposition teams who agreed to take part in a joint team picture with a Prostate Cancer UK poster before each game."
Last New Year's Eve the club drew another raffle in support of Dave Edwards who is running the London Marathon in April for Prostate Cancer UK in memory of his dad, Eddie, who passed away in July last year.
The raffle originally aimed to raise just £50 to £60 with prizes of a bottle of wine, a box of biscuits and a set of bath bombs.
However, 44 prizes were donated by 26 local companies and it ended up raising over £1,000.
