A radio station based in West Oxfordshire said it is "thrilled" to be celebrating its sixth year.

Windrush Radio, an online station, brings a range of music and community engagement to listeners around the world.

Live shows air most evenings from 7pm and the station has a total of 25 unique programmes.

It showcases an assortment of genres, including indie, disco, and special request shows like the Guidepost Trust Charity Request Show and the Witney Pride Request Show.

The station has covered and broadcasted festivals including Witney Music Festival, Nor Lye Festival, Witney Beer Festival, Witney Pride, and Minster Beer Festival.

It has recently expanded onto DAB digital radio in Oxford.

Director at Windrush Radio, Simon Oliver, said: "We are thrilled to celebrate six fantastic years of serving our community and beyond.

"Our commitment to diverse programming and engaging with local events has allowed us to create a unique listening experience.

"We look forward to continuing to grow and connect with our audience especially now in Oxford."

Founded in 2018, it is available 24 hours a day and aims to provide an inclusive platform for music and community engagement.

It says it has a "mission to connect people through the power of music", and "continues to innovate and inspire listeners worldwide".
