Television presenter and writer Kate Humble will give a talk on her new book at an Oxfordshire farming centre.

Home Made features inspiring stories from 20 people and contains over 60 sustainable recipes from farm to table.

During the evening at FarmED guests will be treated to a light supper of some of the dishes cooked by the centre's chef Gareth.

The meals include hoisin pork belly and cucumber in lettuce cups, chorizo, prawn and butter bean stew, honey, almond and olive oil cake and tumbler lemon curd and raspberry ‘cheesecake’.

FarmED is a not-for-profit organisation based at Honeydale Farm, near Shipton-under-Wychwood.

It is a diverse 107-acre mixed farm with a farm to fork cafe and multifunctional educational, meeting and conference space where people can learn about regenerative agriculture.

Ms Humble,who owns a small, 117-acre farm in Wye Valley in south-east Wales, specialises in wildlife and science programmes including Springwatch and Autumnwatch with Bill Oddie, Simon King, Chris Packham and Martin Hughes-Games.

She is a former president of the RSPB and ambassador for walking charity Living Streets.

The FarmED cafe will be open for pre-drinks from 5.30pm and a ticket includes a copy of Home Made.

This event, in partnership with Chipping Norton bookshop Jaffe & Neale, takes place on October 18, 6.30pm to 9pm at FarmED, Station Rd, Shipton-under-Wychwood, Chipping Norton, OX7 6BJ.
