Jeremy Clarkson has denied saying a controversial quote on social media in a Twitter spat.
The former Top Gear host has been making the headlines recently after buying The Windmill pub near Burford in Oxfordshire.
After renaming it to The Farmer’s Dog following the £1,000,000 purchase, fans have been flocking to the location to try a pint of Hawkstone.
Mr Clarkson also brought things to a close professionally with longtime Top Gear and The Grand Tour co-stars James May and Richard Hammond.

The latter’s final episode was released on Prime Video last month and saw the trio take one last adventure, visiting Zimbabwe and Botswana.
Mr Clarkson’s other hit Prime Video show, Clarkson’s Farm, is now in its fourth season following the global success of the documentary.
Yet a fan of the show was promptly shut down by the 64-year-old TV presenter for publishing a false quote in Mr Clarkson’s name.
The X account named simply ClarksonsFarm said: “Thoughts on this statement?”
Attached to the post was a photo of Mr Clarkson along with a quote allegedly from him which said: “We need to look after our own first.

“It’s not selfish; it’s just the way things should be.
“You can’t take care of others if you haven’t taken care of your own people.”
Mr Clarkson denied this and replied: “To be clear, that quote is made up.
“I never said it.”
