A DIDCOT mother of three has won the local Asda Wondermum competition.
The company’s distribution centre in the town, which organised the competition, asked people to submit their Wondermum nominees.
Fourteen-year-old Megan Ireson, heard about the competition at her school, Didcot Girls’ School, and entered her mum, Lisa.
Megan, pictured with her mother, said: “My mum is the best; she always has time for me and my two sisters. She helps me with problems and congratulates me on my successes.
“She has done so much for our family. She really deserves to win.”
Ms Ireson, of Oxford Crescent, put her own career on hold while she raised her three daughters, Leanne, 18, Megan and Emily, 12, and supported her husband who was in the RAF.
She is now studying for a degree in science.
Asda spokesman Naomi Constable visited Ms Ireson and presented her with flowers and chocolates.
During her visit, she asked Megan to tell her more about her mum.
Megan added: ”She’s such an inspiration and my role model. She is achieving more and more.”
