TWO charity workers are gearing up to plummet 12,000ft for charity.

Nathan James, from Witney, and Colette Graham, from Abingdon, will skydive in aid of mental health charity Oxfordshire Mind.

The duo have pledged to raise £450 each for the charity ahead of their jump, which will be at Hinton Skydive Centre, near Brackley, on a date to be organised.

They both work for Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (OBMH), which provides specialist mental health services to people in both counties and beyond.

Ms Graham, 25, is a project manager for OBMH Trust.

She said: “We are excited about this challenge, and hope people will support us.”

Mr James, 28, of Deer Park, is a membership officer for the trust.

Both are taking part in the challenge, which will see them cover 1,000ft in five seconds, reaching speeds of up to 120mph, to raise awareness of mental health and to support Oxfordshire Mind.

Mr James said: “We are taking mental health awareness to the extreme by doing something extraordinary, like jumping out of a plane for a good cause, like Mind.”

Oxfordshire Mind needs to raise £30,000 each year to sustain and develop its services.
